All the clubs have good similar swing weights ranging from D0 to D2 and have been fitted with new hide grips whipped with black waxed linen thread.

The inverted round dimples created a longer and higher ball flight and the surface remained cleaner compared to the bramble pattern. Spalding used this dimple pattern for many of their ball lines starting in 1914 when they produced the Spalding Dot.

The Penfold Man. 'He played a Penfold' c.1933

A superb early 1930’s original point of sale Penfold Man figure displaying the gap between his legs, the early pipe shape and laces in his shoes. Having been authentically restored this much sought after figure is now in ‘mint’ condition and would make a marvellous addition to a golf enthusiast memorabilia collection or a display model in a club house.

The Penfold Man was produced by The Golf Ball Development Company who manufactured and sold the Penfold golf ball and was used as a point of sale display model in golf professional’s shops and major sports equipment retail stores throughout the United Kingdom from around the mid 1920’s to mid 1940’s.
